For 35+ years I've been an avid fly fisherman, but this year I had to have surgery on my right (dominate) hand and both are still too weak to handle casting and holding onto my fly rods. Since its been over year since I've last been able to fish due to injuries, I've decided to take up photography of the nature I love. I'm really Jonesing to get outdoors. I'm not the type to just hike, but I've always enjoyed taking pictures of nature and wildlife when I'm out fishing and camping.
Today I purchased a Nikon D3300 kit which will be my first real quality camera. I have a small water proof point and shoot I used to take pictures of fish.
I'm not trying to become an expert - I'm just hoping to take some nice pictures for my own pleasure and to share with family and friends.
