I attended the annual Boxing Day drag hunt (this is where the hunt follows an artificially laid scent to prevent live foxes being harmed).
The hunt takes place in the local park owned by the Earl, the park is open to the public to walk in all year round and is over 7 miles long and used for a number of events including Polo attended by royalty from the UK and overseas.
The Earl lives in the manor house and this is shown in the first photo below - he and his wife are very friendly and sociable and his wife has been on my wife's radio show (they get on very well).
It was a frosty morning but blue sky and sunshine made it a well attended event enjoyed by all with many of the same faces attending each year - we are lucky to live about 500 metres from the park entrance so it is a venue I visit often.
The joy of living in the Cotswolds.
