Nidding's macro thread

Hey you all :)
I've been gone for a while, but hope to be back now and then, to post a few macro shots.
Wasn't sure where to put this thread, so if it should have been in the macro forum, feel free to move it, admins :)

Today's photo is one I've been hunting for a while. These spiders are so damn fast, but finally I was able to sneak up on one and get a semi decent angle.
Shot with d3100, reversed 50mm on full set of extension tubes. On camera flash with a diy overhead diffuser. f/11, 1/50 sek, ISO 100

DSC_2413-Edit by jonas_sandager, on Flickr

Hopefully I'll be able to post some more before too long.

Hahaha. I think you might have a valid point there, Scott. Let me just refrase myself "I really suck at species identification" ;)

There's certainly something to what you say, Mike. And thank you. When I took this one, however, I was standing in a very awkward positions and had the sun right in my face, so that I actually weren't able to see anything in the viewfinder. Getting focus under these circumstances, whether I like it or not, must at least to some degree be submitted to luck ;)
However I much prefer the way you put it, so let's just stick with skill, shall we :D
