Chayelle's Journey of Discovery

I wanted to post some pictures...
I have never really posted very many on any forum site, but thought this is a good day to begin.
At first I wrote some blogs, but, now I have found "Daily Photos"...

I take pictures for my pleasure, yet it is so nice when someone else might be blessed by some
of the sights I have gotten to see.

If you have looked at the above listed blog posts, here are more Pear tree photos...

All of these shots really amazed me because the wind was blowing so....

I am going back to the Nikon 300 vr lens [mentioned in Journey/2], the
Nikon 300mm f/4 E PF VR,ED AF-S...
I was trying to use this lens shooting some closeup shots of the flower
of some of these pear trees.
I was going to town to do some shopping, but I made time to do some photography.
The rains were coming and I did not want to lose the flowers...

These were NOT macro shots, just some closeup shots...
the wind was blowing the branches hard. I did not think anything would
come out very well, but wow... I am impressed with this lens.....!

This picture is very tightly cropped, as I wanted you to see there is no blur... even
in my sometimes shaky hands! :)

Very good shots, clear and sharp.

A bit of direction change from the spring flower explosion today in
this post:

We live in the hills of the ozark mountains here in Arkansas.
Sunsets here at home are mostly unseen, and
sunrise shots are usually full of trees!

I like the colors of this shot...
gives a lot of contrast to the previous sunrise...

Sometimes, if I am outside, will get one like this moonrise...

I think you really enjoy your Tamzooka! Handholding, you seem to have mastered...very well!
It is so heavy, with the D700. I get pretty shaky with ours... :)

Yes, I do. It does take some time to get use to the weight. The first week or so, I would only use it two days in a row and put it away for a week. You'll get the hang of it.

Found this 1st Dandelion of the year on March 31.
Glad I took time to capture this, as the next day it was gone from the rain storm.

D70s with Tamron 17-50 @ 50mm

Just wanted to show off the Nikon 300 vr again... I am so enjoying this lens!
The way the lens picks up the texture and character of this quartz rock, the shine
and the background... I think this is definitely a keeper. Now to part with the
300afs version (which I love for using as a macro lens!) ... oh my!

This was taken with the 1.7 TC D700 cropped.

And, of course... I like this version of the Dandelion... hope you too enjoy!

This spring is so beautiful:
Redbuds! Pear! Dogwood! Apple! Grape Hyacinth! Daffodils! Forsythia! Hyacinths! Tulip Trees!
The hardwood trees' subtle colors as they begin forming their buds!
The pale green shades in the woods of all the new growth!
Such a glorious feast for my eyes!!!

Some winter snow:

Snow Falling we got a thick 2 inch coating of sleet,
then an inch or more of snow on top of the sleet... Pete got to stay home a couple days. :)

In the far right of this picture there are some bloomed daffodils, weighed down by the snow!

No, we only received lovely, cool rain this weekend; no snow.
We are so blessed with our rain this year!
[I do rejoice praying for the western states to receive nice, "soaking" rains...
soon and very soon, throughout the year!]
