Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 Photos's

I am on the way to learn how to handle the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 HSM. So far it is a challenging but a quite good one. Just walked around an have hour to try capture something. I figured out that I should maybe set my exposure to - 0.5.

I hope that this threat will show that I am on the way improving the wide-angle field so on my next holiday I have something to do besides enjoying with my family.

Any feedback is very welcome. Any suggestions how to use this lens or how to use a wide-angle will go straight to my heart. Everyone who owns a Sigm a10-20mm is welcome to join this thread

I am going to start with two photos. Don't forget I am learning how to use a wide-angle and which settings a great for this lens.So don't expect a great photo series at the beginning :)

My dear friends I have to tell yo that I am the most foolish man on earth. I was wondering Why my photos overexposed and fortunately I shot RAW so I was able to pp them better. Looking at the EFIX now in this thread that I used my camera the other day and set it up to +0.67 and I have forgotten to check it. So I used the same settings.

I am so, so stupid. Oh man.

Michael you are off to a good start with your new lens, some great shots there.

My favourites are the first and the last photo.

Have you applied any corrections on your photos for distortion ?

Looks like it does a good job.

Brad, I looked through the viewfinder and tried different camera movements and it is amazing how just a different Camera angle makes less distortion. The bit distortion can be easily corrected using, in my case, LR.

Yesterday's photo were taken handheld. But as you read already I overexposed them.

Today it was raining so I went on the roof-terrace and I tried the Sigma 10-20mm on my tripod. It performance great. I tell you that I love this lens already.

20mm/f11. Just RAW - LR Auto-correct - converted to JPEG

10mm/f11. Just RAW - LR Auto-correct - converted to JPEG

The same process but now a bit PP in LR 3.6. I don't know if there is any difference

Today I am going to show about distortion -shot RAW

Just a gate - converted JPEG no PP

Auto correction - converted JPEG no PP

I was not that satisfied and tried in LR Manuel correction - no PP

And after that I pp a bit

I know I have to learn how to correct manual. I am learning a lot. This lens encourages me using tripod, going close to subjects, shooting Manual and using LR manual correction.

I hope that I am soon much better in using wide-angle so I can post great photos in my regular threads.

I figured out that the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6D EX DC HSM is a great Walk-around-lens. The 20mm equals 35mm and I think this is great for street. The 10 -15 mm gives an interesting look at the subjects and 16-19 is great for a sort of landscape, seascape, etc.

I hope you're going to enjoy this. Likes and commends are very welcome :D
