I'm an Entomologist and immensely interested in Macrophotography. I do macrophotography of insects for Taxonomy purpose. I have Nikon D 5300 and Nikkor AF-S VR 105mm Macro f/2.8 lens along with TC 20 EIII and Nikon R1C1 commander flashlight kit.
I am doing Insect Photostacking with Cognisys Stackshot Automated Macro rail imported from US along with Zerene or Helicon Focus software.
For Insect Photostacking I had purchased tethering software -Control My Nikon Pro version 5.0.
The problem lies that this tethering software and my camera is not getting connected inspite of doing all the necessary settings of Camera as per the directions and instructions mentioned in the software manual.
I have Sony Vaio Tap 20 Model SVJ 202816W with Windows 8.1 (Touch screen).
Note:- This laptop doesn't have an HDMI or VGA port so I use USB to HDMI converter for connecting camera with laptop.
I am stucked up and knowbody around here has the know how regarding this peculiar problem.
Also I had purchased Nikon Camera Control Pro 2.18.0 for doing Macrophotography. After doing all the necessary settings of camera this software also displays the message "Camera not detected".
Hope you understand the gravity and tell me accordingly what to do about this.Troubling you a bit but tethering things you know are off a little know -how in the region of India where I reside.
