I broke every rule in the book with this one...what do you think? D5000 with the 105/2.5 set on 5.6 and shutter speed 800 ISO 200...turned it into B&W post process because the original is way bright...call it a little digital darkroom processing...
looks good to me jeff. . .your the artist. . . lol. . .scott kelby mentioned in one of his books about the "cropping of the head technique". . .he said it was quite popular. . .
I was looking over old photos tonight that is how I came to post this thread...haven't been shooting at all the past several days...I know I am breaking the rules hahaha but look at this one...not such a great snap really but it is crazy in it's effect...the long focal length is just slamming this one together so hard and with such contrast it is very 3Dish...I really need a 100% viewfinder something fierce...talk about thin DOF... lol
OK...well I edited the photos...now they are higher resolution...less drunkenly...guess I need to upgrade...
I never drink and drive and I never drink and shoot...plus only one Moosehead is breaking the rules for me personally (sometimes you need to get in touch with your outer self)...go figure Sam maybe you should have one or two yourself... LOL
Just bugging ya Jeff - I don't drink much either, can't afford to. T have too many hobbies that I need to stay alert. Especially when shooting my 223 Bushmaster or 1911 .45acp
The only time a picture is wrong is when it is not what the photographer intended.
Everything else is nothing more than people tastes.
This particular pic works because the lads head is pointing down along with the eyes to the corner of the frame
which adds that bit of intrest.
