Lemme Know What You Think

I tried something different with a heavily edited and unusual composition here. Let me know what you think, if you will, even if you dislike it. BTW, I already know the watermark is in a bad spot, I'll fix that next time around. :)

What I like:

1. Composition
2. The light from right down corner shines to the birds chest (leading)
3. Click full view image, it looks just great

What I don't like:

1. Clicking full view, the ends of the bird-wings (black) surrounded of a bit flair.

Since you asked.

You have two things going on here. The background which is kind of like a dreamy effect, and the bird that's over sharpened yet still somewhat out of focus.
I imagine,(I could be wrong) that you tried to bring back to life an out of focus bird by sharpening it way too much and it doesn't work.

It would have been probably better to leave the bird alone and just go for that dreamy effect all around. The background and the bird together. I don't know if you know about the orton effect but IMO it would have worked better.
If you have NIK Tools, in Color FX Pro try the "Glamour Glow" effect.

It's interesting that I'm getting comments that the bird is over-sharpened and over-processed. I applied very minimal sharpening and the bird is the only part of the shot that I didn't process the heck out of. It is very contrasty due to the lighting. Regardless, if it looks over-processed it doesn't matter why.

Thanks for the input, everyone.
