In lieu of the recent discussion regarding critiques being either "sugar-coated" or too harsh, I figured I would present this thread. I borrowed this from an automotive forum I moderate but I thought it would be fitting here. We all have room to do better, every single one of us, and I believe this may help without being too nice or too harsh.
Here is the basic premise: You post a photo, but to be allowed to post the photo you MUST give the person above you one POSITIVE comment about their photo, and one NEGATIVE criticism about their photo.
With that being said, there are some rules that you must follow...
RULES:
1. Only 1 (ONE) photo per post
2. NO TEXT POSTS
3. You MUST give at least ONE positive and ONE negative about the photo above yours, you may give more (and it is encouraged) but you must give one of each, I know we all love positive reenforcement but we never get anywhere if the negatives aren't pointed out to us.
4. You can not post a C&C until there are two posts after your last post, this will keep the thread moving and not being just two people having a back and forth
[IE: If I post a photo, two people must then post before I can make my next post]
5. No personal attacks, we are all friends here.. No reason to drag anything into your C&C except for the photo/conditions itself.
6. If you happen to post just after someone else, and you both end up C&Cing the same photo.. just edit your post to C&C the new photo above yours.
And to get it started:
