I like this pic, so I don't want to be to rough on it ,, but the near hay cube seems like it should be either out of frame, or complete , Id rather get a better look at the weird landforms and multiple hay cubes off in the background.
Cool backyard though , Id never imagine one looked like that.

I agree about the hay bales to the left, but other than that you have captured and portrayed the vastness well with the composition and the cloudscape and the colour of the sky is fabulous

Thanks for your comments. I had the idea that the large bales stacked on the left would give a perspective of size. Here is the same picture cropped to get rid of the bales on the left.

And one more that was taken at the same time with a slightly different perspective.

Better or not? Thanks

in my opinion it is much better without the big bales on the left, there is nothing to draw the eye away from the landscape and vastness of the whole picture. Of the two new ones, I like the bottom picture a teeny bit more than the first, the sky and clouds are great in both, but the bottom one has whiter clouds in the mid-ground, both great pics though.

It's probably just me but I'd have favored a bit more "land" at the bottom at the expense of some of the clouds above. I'm a fan of thirds when it comes to composition.

I think both of the revised versions are better without the hay bales. Of the two my favourite is the last one showing more land.

That is sure one big back yard - who does the sweeping ?

This is the original of the 3rd picture before cropping

Here are a couple more cropped using common ratios.

I had originally cropped it to get rid of the road and weeds in the foreground. I didn't want you to see how unkempt my yard really was. Ha!
