Nice portrait John. Did you use a flash? A little over exposed on the face by looking at it on my monitor.

How do you like that lens?

Thanks Glenn, NO I did not use flash and funny enough when I posted it here I did check again as I also thought it looked like it had been.

On the day it was overcast but very bright at that point I did smooth a skin a little so maybe that has made it a bit brighter

I love the lens - its quite un-common as most are the 24-70 even on Photoshop lens profiles its not there

Just an update - I went back and re-did the photo. I think its better now and to be honest I have no idea why I processed it so bad the first time but it was a little to warm

I prefer the colour of the second shot but the contrast a little too much for my taste. The eyes have become a little too dark in the second shot. They could probably be dodged to brighten them quite a bit.

Like this (hope you won't mind my showing what I mean)

Yeah, that first one was way too warm. Her teeth were orange! The second is better, but her face does seem a bit hot and needs to be toned down. The lipstick is especially bright.

And I agree with Marcel. The eyes are what sell a portrait.

Thank you both ....

Yes Marcel I see what you mean... I think I will take another look at her eyes and overall contrast

Third time lucky eh.....
