This is a slightly modified version of a post on the Insects thread to eliminate a couple of annoying details.
Lasiocampa quercus.
This female Oak Eggar moth was in danger of being steam cleaned and had to be moved. As it was during the day, she was more or less asleep and didn't want to let go of my finger.
