Monopod and head for D500 and Tamron 150-600

I have been looking at replacing my cheap monopod/head for something better. I am that a Desmond DMH-2X1 Monopod Tilt Head and a Oben CTM-2500 5-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod may work but I am open to suggestions.

I got a wimberly monopod head for using with a mefoto monopod when using my D7500 with Nikon 200-500 attached. I got it after watching Steve Perry on YouTube recommending it.

On board a cruise ship whale watching and tracking albatrosses...SUPERB.
Quite a few photographers came over to see what I had.

I put a cheap Neewer gimbal head on my monopod and it works great. Birds in flight is better hand held...

I have a Benro gimbal head but I think it would be too heavy to use on a monopod. I need to give it a try.

You have to keep the turning knob tight and move the monopod or it is very unstable. I sling it over my shoulder and walk miles, no problem.

    €‹€‹€‹€‹€‹€‹ I use a Manfrotto 322RC2 on both a tripod and a monopod.
