Battery Grip, non OEM

I did not look at the Newwer. I think I read a 100 or so reviews on non OEM grips and came close to pulling the trigger a dozen times on different ones. I ended up waiting and saving for OEM Grip. They are a lot more expensive, but I just did not feel comfortable with the others I had looked at. I pretty much keep the grip on all the time including on monopod and tripod and I liked to the thought that the OEM grip had the same frame material as the D7200 body.

I use a non OEM on the D600 I have the Mcoplus one, although I think they are all made out of the same factory then just branded, mine stays on the camera at all times, I have no issues with it on a tripod or anything, its build quality is great for the price.

You are looking at buying from Amazon, buy it, try it, if you dont like it send it back :)

I've used a few different 3rd party grips for several cameras. They all worked out just fine. 1 meike, one Neewer and another that I can't remember. No problem with any one them and they matched the body either perfectly or so close that you wouldn't notice. It's a relatively uncomplicated piece of equipment so not a lot to go wrong.

The Neewer arrived today and I fitted it to my D7100. It felt a bit "plasticky" but went on well and works and feels just fine. I also got the MB-D17 for the D500 today. It is much more robustly built than the Neewer and feels just like the camera, solid. Neewer CAD$58, Nikon CAD$600!!!! I'm pretty sure that there is not CAD$542 difference but-----------:) a mans gotta have what a mans gotta have, if it's OK with SWMBO!

No experience with the Neewer. I did have the XIT grip for my D7100, ran into focus issues using my Tamron 70-200 f2.8, they went away when I removed the grip...
