Compact/Minimalist case for a D3300 and 300mm lens only?

Hello,
I'm looking for compact case to fit my D3300 w/18-55 and 55-300. I'm looking for something minimal, as close as possible to fitting only these items. I do a lot of hiking and long backpacking trips and I need to minimize what I carry. most of what I see is very large holding several lenses.... I have no real preference as to style i.e fannypack, slingbag or backpack as long as it's minimal. Wondering if anyone has a similar combination and what they use? It is extremely difficult to gauge online without seeing the case in person.
Thanks
Steve

I picked up a Lowepro 202 Slingshot for treks through the desert. Right now it has my D7100 with a 70-300 lens, my 18-55 and 35mm. Also has my D3100 body packed in there as well, plus chargers and cords, card reader and flash drive. It might be a little bigger than what you are looking for, but its held up well so far.

Also keep in mind that before today i only had one camera. Im surprised the D3300 fits in there with the other two lenses.

I have a closet full of camera bags. I gave up on finding the right bag. I just grab what works on a particular day, stuff it and go.

What gets the most use is two things. A very simple lens case like this:
Nylon Camera Protect Case Bag for Nikon DSLR D7100 D7000 D5100 D5200 D3200 | eBay

Very minimal, not much protection. A camera sits on my coffee table in one of these. If we go for a ride, I grab it and go. I have a few of them, some deeper than others. If I am wearing the camera, this bag can be squished up and stuffed in another bag.
#2 is one of these:
Amazon.com : Tamrac M.A.S. Extra Large Lens Case (Black) : Camera Cases : Camera & Photo

Belt loop or I hang it on something with a clip.
I'm more of a path walker than a hiker but that's what I would use, the single lens pouch, camera around my neck and squishable camera case available.

My next fav is an old Lowpro. Not sure what model, its long discontinued anyway. Its a shoulder bag style. Room for camera with lens and one extra lens. Well padded. I've dropped it without issue many times. Not ideal for hiking, but great for bringing to a school event, picnic, park, etc. And this is how the closet starts to fill up with camera bags.
