If you tell us what you're in the market for, we're all very good at helping one another spend money.
Ah yes, the hunt for the "One Lens to Rule Them All". When you say "does it all" I'm assuming you mean does it all (at least reasonably) WELL and at a price point that won't require a second mortgage?Alright thanks for the reply...
Im looking to buy an all around lens...so I don't have to carry many lens...so does it exist an 1 lens that does all....landscape..Bird watching.... Portraits.. And video..?

I had the one lens for everything fever real bad before. I'm glad that I'm cured now. Now I have the One camera for every lens sickness. LOL:shame:
Seriously, if you want to carry the least amount of lenses and still do it all (almost all anyway) I would recommend at least 2 lenses.
The Nikon 24-120mm and something like a 70-300mmVR lens if 300mm is enough for you.
I have not owned the 28-300mm lens so I have no advice on that. @480sparky has one and seems to like it. He is a demanding photographer so I would trust his advice as well along with @Horoscope Fish.
My 28-300 is the Nikkor, not the Tamron. I considered the latter, but opted for the Nikkor because 1. it uses 77mm filters instead of 67 (all my large filters are 77) and 2. I use Capture NX2, which is limited to correcting Nikkor lens distortion and 3. The Nikkor holds it's resale value better over time.
That would be a great combination in my opinion as well. I have mixed feelings about the 24-120mmt but a LOT of people swear by it.Seriously, if you want to carry the least amount of lenses and still do it all (almost all anyway) I would recommend at least 2 lenses.
