AmazonBasics and Duracell selling rebranded Eneloop AA batteries?

Heard a little diddy today, that AmazonBasics BLACK AA rechargable batteries are just rebranded Eneloops.

Also, Duracell seems to have a version as well: Amazon.com: Duracell Pre Charged Rechargable Batteries Aa 2000 Mah Nimh Digital Cameras: Card Of 4: Health & Personal Care

Did some digging around today, anyone using the AmazonBasics black AA batteries?

If my original white eneloops will ever die, I would try these Amazon cells in a heartbeat. I believe they are indeed black eneloops. I bought about 24 white AA eneloops when they first came out and they just won't die or lose any performance. Besides camera flash, they get daily use in radios, flashlights and other portable devices. I also have a bunch of AAA white eneloops and I did have a need to buy one set of the white amazon basics AAA last year. I can not tell a difference other than the label printing, they work fine.

I ordered the Black Amazon AAs a week or two ago instead of eneloops. I have a couple dozen eneloops that just keep on tickin'... I can't speak to the Amazon Basic's performance yet... but they are less money...

It's funny cuz it's true...

We use nothing but rechargeable batteries in my house so we have Eneloops everywhere (flashlights, strobes, hand-held GPS units, remote controls, etc. etc. etc.)

The Energizer Bunny pooped out around here years ago but my Eneloops just keep on keepin' on.

Its worth noting that black eneloops have a higher capacity but they have a shorter expected lifespan. 500 estimated charge cycles vs 2100 cycles for the white. Going forward, I'll probably be using both white and black depending on how power hungry the device is. I just checked my Amazon history, my white eneloops were bought back in 2008.

Only have 1 set of loops and some duracells, but these amazons look interesting. Charger-wise, always used Powrex Maha 8-slot one and never had any issues. Nice and fast 1hr charge @ 2A or .8A for AAAs.
