Ranie, do you have the P and Z series reversed as to size? The P filters are 85mm wide, the Z filters are 100mm wide and the x-Pro are 130mm wide. In any case Ranie is correct, no you can't use the original lens hood. Cokin makes a modular hood if you want one. I've read both good and bad about the effectiveness of the modular hood especially when shooting wide angle. I always use my hand or a baseball cap when it is needed. The biggest complaint with this type of filter system is the vignetting at very wide angle. To help with that problem Cokin makes a thin holder. You can also cut off one or more of the slots on the front of the holder (it has three). You can get aftermarket holders fairly cheep. You also have to remember that the filters are the gel type not glass. With a little care they will give you good service. There are glass filters available from manufacturers such as Lee and Sing but at more than five times the cost.
