Hasselblad Launches the Hasselblad HV, a Tougher Sony A99

So the Hasselblad HV is essentially a rebadged Sony A99, with a BIG price tag?

HV - $11,500 Includes the Zeiss 24-70 f2.8 glass.

A99 - $2,798 body only or $3,196 with 28-75mm f2.8 glass.

Maybe they should look at a name change for their dSLR uh...re-badged....line.
Something like Hustlebad? I think it has a nice ring to it.

LOL - Hustlebad! Could be also: HustleBlood... "differences between the HV and the full-frameSony A99 it’s based on are still minimal with the exception of price." - now that was a good one (expecting someone to pay the price of a D800 for a "re-invented" A99? As optimistic as it gets!).

That depends. Thanks to digital I can now afford Hasseblad film cameras and lenses where I could not before, at least not to the extent of the Blad equipment I have now!

I do wish that some third party would make and sell a full 2 1/4 X2 1/4 digital back for the old 500 C-CM. Please under 10.000$
