I have a Tamron SP AF TC white body that works perfectly on my D300 and D700 with my 70-200mm F/2.8 VC lens. I thought with it working so well I would try the Tamron SP AF 2X converter so I bought one white also. I can't get a focus lock on either camera using the same 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. I don't know if there's a difference between the white or black TC's but both are the better SP converters.
Ideas?
