wow, sounds like people on the fence should really consider buying the D600 Kit, I compared the D600 body to the my D7000 body, and the initial price did seem high, I bet over time, the D600 will trend down, to being a 1600-1800 price, and the D800 to a 2700 price.

The D800 is a great price too. I am glad I am out of the camera buying cycle (every 4 years).

Shoot, and here I was thinking that I would wait. I was planning on saving up for a D800, but that D600 kit price is SOOO tempting. According to B&H the offer ends on 12/15, so I better think and act quickly. I've got a D7000 and want to upgrade toe a full frame body, and while I would love to have the 9 shot bracketing built in and the extra pixels, I'm wondering if it's worth the difference? I only wish they'd knocked half that chunk of change off the D600 body alone.

This decision would be so much easier if I could move one of these guitars I'm selling. LOL

Hmmm, I see the backpack and card listed as additional items one would have to pay for with Amazon and not as throw-ins. I purchased my D600 at B&H and got a Lowepro Rezo 170 AW Camera Shoulder Bag, SanDisk 32GB SDHC Memory Card Extreme Class 10 UHS, IPearstone EN-EL15 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.0V 1800mAh) and Oben ACM-2400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod in the deal as well. Swap out a Vello wireless shutter release for the monopod and that's what you're getting with the D800 for same price as Amazon.

Jake, look at JDEG's link and then down... it shows discounts on lens if you add and then the free items when buying the kit...

Nice Jake!

btw, The cost of the backpack & card are deducted at checkout with Amazon - you just have to add them to the cart first. They throw in that $100 card for a 'class' as well.

Yeah definitely a great deal either way. I wish I could take advantage of all these deals lately!

I woke up to my email flyer from Nikon. I'm happy that I already have my D700 as the current deal is very tempting. Enjoy your new camera Jake.
