I hope everyone in the path of Hurricane Dorian is able to remain in place safely or evacuate to a safer location.
Marilynne, if you're still in Delray Beach, you have a lower forecast probability of being directly hit by the storm; but it's a forecast, not a directive to the storm. And you're still likely to feel the impact of the storm. I'm hoping for the best for you!
Who else is living or visiting peninsular Florida and could be impacted by this storm?
As for me, I'm out in West Florida, about 30-40 miles east of Pensacola and we're watching the forecast and track of this storm without alarm, just concern, for now. (I do have children living in Gainesville and attending the University of Florida. I'm waiting to hear from them their plans for the storm. As of last night, they were going to reamain in place since their residence is a heavily reinforced concrete block structure and it appears that the storm might be greatly diminished in intensity if it hits that area.
Stay safe, good people!
