Long Trip, No Pictures

So my wife and I drove out to Lake Tahoe for a cycling event she was participating in. Two days to drive there. The first evening we go on a boat cruse, and the weather is overcast, so I just take a couple of iphone snap shots, planning to do the real photography the next two days. Then I wake up at 1:30 in the morning with the stomach flu. I was totally disabled Saturday, felt only good enough to walk a little and eat a bit of solid food on Sunday, then back in the car for the drive home on Monday. I never unzipped my photo backpack. At least my wife didn't get as sick as I did, and was able to do a shortened version of her bike ride. UGH! Now I have a nasty cold! DOUBLE UGH! :)

You have my sincere sympathies... I wouldn't wish stomach flu on my worst enemy; though possibly on those who oppose me.

That is horrible Woody. There are few things worse than getting sick on the road. Glad you made it home safe. God Bless.

:) Sorry Woody, your story took me back to the 70's when I lived in California. A couple of fellow workers and I
took a trip to South Lake Tahoe, on the way we had lunch and I order chili. Wrong, while everyone was having fun
I sat on the throne and wondered why anyone would put a phone in the bathroom. Memories :). Better luck next trip.

Sorry to hear about this, Woody. At least you were able to drive home safely which is the most important thing. Rest up and hope both of you will be feeling better real soon!

Once again, Hope you're feeling better now.

Forgot to ask - how did your wife do in the bike event?

Oh... I'm sorry to hear about that. Normally, it takes so much time to prepare those events and so many expectations... Everything scrapped by a tiny bug... Get well, you can travel again in othr opportunity...
