Today I discovered that our friend @Sambr , Sam Bruno, has passed. We were all privileged to get to know him here and see his beautiful work. His love of nature and wildlife was apparent in his photos, some of which you can view here: Sambr

It was Sam's wish that his photos on the site be taken down because his wife will be putting together a book of his work. I intend to honor his wish, but also would like to put up a link in its place to where people can donate to have the book made, and eventually purchase it. I will be contacting his family to run this idea by them.

He will be greatly missed. RIP Sam. :(

That is dreadful news. I was beginning to wonder why I had not seen any posts from him in a while. May he forever rest in God's peace.

Sam Bruno was a great photographer. He had a passion for wildlife photography and it showed in his work. He lived in Kamloops, British Columbia, and was an avid outdoorsman. I had the privilege of talking with him by phone last summer, and he told me of his fight with cancer. I am saddened by the news of his passing. He will be sorely missed by all Nikonites who knew him.

This sounds like a great idea, which I hope is amenable to his relatives. Please let us know.

Sambr will be fondly remembered here, and greatly missed.
