Advice please re glamour/studio photography

Having seen STM's photo "Katrina" (which I really like) I am asking for advice as to how to tell a friend that his shots are not artistic but verging onto pornography. He believes they are wonderful. He has already been told by Facebook that they are not appropriate and have been removed from his page and are also causing offense to some of our club members, both male and female. The problem is made more difficult in that he had a nervous breakdown last year and he has emerged with the impression that he is much more than an amateur and his photos cannot be criticised. We do not want to push him over the edge again so any thoughts would be welcomed.

Not sure I understand - if he wants the images to be as they are, can't he just do that? Why say they are horrible, everybody got different taste (I haven't seen the images so I'm just talking generally). As long as it's not young girls or women who aren't comfortable about what they are doing, I don't think I would say anything - but I wouldn't like/praise his stuff either.

I am not criticising the photos nor saying they are horrible. They are just not to my taste as supposedly artistic photos. It is more that several members are offended and are probably not suitable for open view on a club forum of which he is the moderateur. Just thinking... perhaps the answer is for him to post a message on the forum stating that he has uploaded photos to his site and leave it to us to view or not. Thanks for posting, you have made me think in a different direction.

"Art is in the mind of the beholder", what may be art for me may be pornography to you and junk for some one else.

In this case ignoring the images is the best option. Once he realizes that no one is commenting on his "master pieces", unless he is extremely daft and ego centric he will get the hint.
