I've seen a few Fuji mirrorless users with all sorts of non-Fuji flashes but to my understanding there's no TTL; which makes sense.
I don't know if you're into off-camera flash I'll mention a wireless trigger I've heard of, but have no direct experience with, that DOES allow for TTL on Fuji bodies when paired with a Nikon flash. It's called ROBOShoot and I really know next to nothing about it. Sounds cool though!!

Was the SB-300 set to manual?Update: My X100 arrived on Friday and the SB-300 does not fire on the shoe
Considering is won't work as a remote flash either, it will be listed for sale soon. Anyone interested?
Was the SB-300 set to manual?
Because I did use my SB-600 with my Fuji X-10 which should have the same connectors as the X-100. but I do remember a flash setting that had to be activated before I got it to work. Since the X-100 probably (I'm not sure) has a flash, you've got to tell the camera to send the flash signal to an external flash. Check your menu before selling your SB-300.
There are no menus or settings on the SB-300. It's either on or off.
Yes, my other lights work fine on the shoe (Lumopro LP160, sb700, sb24). It will be nice to have a smaller light I can keep in the bag - the EF-20 looks like just what I need. It will bounce and is compact like the SB-300 and will also work off camera which my SB-300 could not.
I was thinking more of an "in camera menu". It's been a few years, but I remember having to go into the camera's menu to make my Nikon flash work.
