Another Dang Texican!

Greetings from the greater Houston area! I've been away from photography for over 30 years and decided to start dabbling in it again with a new D5100. Previously shot Nikon, Pentax, and Yashica back in the Stone Age. Have yet to set foot outside the house with the new camera but plan on taking on a motorcycle run this weekend North to a National Forrest area.
Thanks for all the excellent tips, points, and reminders you have all posted up to date. Amazing wealth of information here!

Welcome to Nikonites! Always great to have someone picking up photography after some time. Kind of like riding a bike! If you shot in the stoneage then you shot manual, you're ahead of the curve. Enjoy that new camera.
