Just wanted to say Hey to everyone that reads these. I was a member of a photography forum, just a general forum, but it was way over my head. As far as the subject matter went. I hope to really learn how to use my cam on this forum. I have a 3100. I've had it for a few months now. My 1st real camera was a Minolta 3xi film SLR. I had a few different lens' for it, 300mm, fisheye, 500mm mirrored lens & a micro something or another, I forget. Anyway, I've wanted a Dslr since they came out but could not swing the $$$. The problem I had with the film cam was, every time I saw something I wanted to shoot in B&W I had color film in & vic-vers. I got around the price of a new cam when my wife had our daughter, then it was "OK" to spend the money:rolleyes:. So, here I am & hope to learn quite a bit here. I'm a member of several different forums so I understand the whole "Search first" thing before asking noobi questions. Thanks for havin' me, MAXX

Hey MAXX, welcome to Nikonites and congrats on your new D3100. I don't think anything in here will be over your head at all. :) In fact, I will be so bold as to say you'll learn quite a bit from our members in here. But ya gotta ask the questions! :) Don't be shy, and take lots of pics, read your manual, and most of all....have fun with it! :)

While I got ya here, could you fill out the rest of your profile....such as where you're from, type of gear ya got, VISA and Mastercard numbers (all of them), colour of eyes, hair (if any), height, weight, sex preferences, name of your first born male child, aunts and uncles, mothers maiden name, pets (if any), type of car you drive.......you know......that kind of thing. ;) LOL
Just the first two will do, MAXX. :) where from and type of gear used. :)
