I've liked taking pictures for a long time, but for a long time I've just been taking pictures of what I thought was interesting with my Samsung phone. I finally started to think I needed to study and work at it more, so did some research and put together a kit that I could learn with.
I started with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikkor 18-105 lens (with under 5K shutter count), and later added a D200 along with some other lenses to practice and see what I like most. I mostly keep the D7000 at home and keep the D200 at my office downtown. I mostly do city and landscape photography, but have started to do more photography in my neighborhood with gardens, flowers, etc.
I'm learning a great deal and now have more pictures that look like I want them to look (rather than being a happy or unhappy accident of the camera settings!)
