New member from Southern Alabama
Hi all,
Just a brief note to introduce myself.
I was into photography when in my late twenties and early thirties, then life got in the way and I drifted away from it. I had enjoyed the creative side and shoot mostly slide film. As the years went by, I would do snap shot photos of the family and related events, but nothing beyond that level. I listed myself as a newbie because, well you'll see below.
I'm retired now and I'd like to resume where I left off, but I have so much to learn and relearn. Of course, products have changed and the digital world blossomed. I also never used off camera lighting (flashes and such) working with natural light and whatever I could improvise. My current equipment is very limited and I will be adding to or replacing as the need, desire, or funds allow.
I'm not sure where my main interest will be in terms of subject matter, but I'd like to explore as many as possible.
One last thing, I have fairly severe red/green color deficient vision.
I hope you will all be patient with me as I ask questions, probably a lot of questions.
I'm glad to be here
Patrick
