New Member, D750 issue

Hello,

This is my first time visiting this site. I have an issue with my D750 and I was hoping someone would know what to do about it. Today while taking pictures I noticed a light streak across the photos I was taking.
I ruled out the lens and the lighting pretty quick and eventually found this pictured below. I believe one of the shutter blades is stuck, letting in light and casuing the overexposed streak I am seeing.

1. Anyone had/know of this problem occurring?
2. Any easy fixes or is this something Nikon will need to repair?
3. Any idea of cost for this kind of repair?

Thank you in advance for any insight!

Howdy and welcome to Nikonites!!!

I would definitely get in contact with Nikon to have them check out your body. I'm hopeful it would be a warranty repair, possibly covered by the shutter recall(s).

Welcome!! Use the link and check your serial number for a recall. My 750 was doing the same light streak and it was included in the recall from Nikon. Completely free shutter replacement and about a 10 day turn around time. Good luck!!

Update: I checked my serial number and it was included in the recall. I sent the body in to Nikon for repair. New shutter and all repairs were done for free under the recall. It was about 2.5 week turnaround time. Thank you all for the recommendation!

That's GREAT news. Now you will have a "new" camera.
