Howdy Everyone,
Not exactly a newbie, but new to the forum. I shoot with a D7100 and D500, using Nikon 50mm F1.8, Nikon 55-200mm F4-5.6, Nikon 300mm F4 PF (wonderful lens!), Nikon TC-20E II, Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4, Tokina 12-28mm F4, Tamron 60mm F2, with Yongnou YN568EX and Meike MK320 flash units, plus a Panasonic TX101 (=ZS100 stateside).
Over time, I've gone through more lenses than I care to remember, and had a Nikon N6006, N90, Pronea S, D100, D200, D90, and P600, always looking for the optimum spot between picture quality and light weight. In other words, I travel a lot and love taking travel pictures, including lots of wildlife and birding. Last major trip: Ecuador (February 2017). Next one: Northern India and Nepal (next month).
I fiddle quite a bit, and am pretty experienced now, with Lightroom, Photoshop, and DXO Optics Pro, all of which have a place in my photographic workflow. Example pics from past trips can be found at Sharing Our Pictures
Anything else? Oh, yes - before returning to my native home country, I've lived in Texas for 16 years. Glad to meet y'all!
Lothar
