Hello from Warm and Sunny Las Vegas

Hi,

Just found this site. Looking to learn more about my camera and all the fun things it can do . Recently purchased a D3100 and love it. Any help or comments on some of my pictures I have uploaded is greatly appreciated. Plan on taking a trip to Yosemite in about 45 days and want to be able to use more of the camera.

Hello and Welcome Dana...

Vegas huh? If I lived in Vegas I would try to learn about photographing neon lights!

I started fooling around the other night photographing the "Welcome to Vegas" Sign had some success but not alot yet. its all about trial and error learn from your mistakes, a mistake is an erase away.

ISO high...aperture stopped way down...reasonably fast shutter speed...good photograph of the moon or neon lights!

Hi Dana and welcome to the Nikonites Community. If this is your first trip to Yosemite you'll love it. My wife and I went there two years ago. I suggest you take your tripod and a CPL filter. When we were there there was a coyote that trotted up and down the road side every morning looking for road kill. Squirrels get hit by cars on a regular basis and this Coyote got an easy meal every day.

This is a VERY old post. the date on it was 7-17-2011 and her last visit was 7021-2011 So chances are you won't get an answer.-2011, 09:28 PM
