Greetings folks!
Just joined today, and thought I will say "Hi".
I live in Sydney, Australia, with wife and dog, about 10 cameras and many lenses and computers, and a BMW R1200RT motorcycle :).
My cameras include D4, Fuji FX system and some video cams. Most of my post processing and DAM is done on a 27" iMac, and my photos are at RemekTek Photography - RemekTek being my company name.
The main reason I came here is to find advice on whether or not to swap my D4 for the newly announced D810 body. (I have posted a question about this). Looking forward to reading this site...

Welcome to Nikonites! I'd say if your looking for high MPs with tons of detail, that might be the Nikon to have! Though I'm jealous of your D4 myself! Lol I hope you'll love it here with us Nikon fans! :D

Howdy and welcome to Nikonites!

What year is your RT? I've got a 2006 that has been one of my two favorite bikes ever.

Howdie, my RT is 2007 and is the SE edition. It is absolutely the best bike that I ever had. I am the 2nd owner, having bought when it was 18 months old. It is winter here, and the heated handlebars and seat(!) is very much appreciated. :)
I have a friend who own Sydney Dyno, and he fitted an Aprokivic titanium pipes and a Power Commander and then tuned it on the dyno. It LOVELY. Puts out 115 hp at the rear wheel. Still no match for the Jap bikes, but it just makes relaxed but brisk riding even more of a pleasure. The only bike I would consider to swap to would be the new water/oil cooled RT, but I have no $$ so this is not going to happen any time soon. Still, I am happy with what I got.

Anyone here that also has a Fuji FX system? Or any other APS-C, I guess that's the same as the Nikon DX sensor size...

I have been shooting Nikon since the late 80', when I changed from Olympus OM4n, enticed by AF, which Olympus was slow in adopting. I think my last film body was an F5 then I went into D200, then D300 and D700, before the D4.

The Fuji thing started for me with the X100 as it reminded me of my old Leica CL. Then I got an X-PRO1 and X100s and finally the X-T1 and started building up the FX system. Fuji has some seriously nice glassware.

Now-a-days, I tend to use the Nikon gear mostly for paid work, such as events photography, and especially like the CLS flash aspect. Have 3x SB800 guns and matching Pocket Wizards.

This year joined a Video Makers Club and started to learn about making quality video. Tried some footage with the D4 with mixed results. Quality is great, but AF is mediocre during video shooting. Must look to see if this site has any video sub-forums.

Well, that's probably enough about me.
