I'm a self employed furniture maker and part time product photographer living on an acreage with my dog Ruby a dozen miles west of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
I've always owned a camera but never did get into the darkroom.
Everything changed when I purchased a Kodak P&S in 2002 and passed on my Mamiya SLR to my niece.
Wow, the freedom
I even had an image printed in Fine Woodworking Magazine with that 2 mp camera....
Then in 2007 I purchased an Olympus E-510. Then a E-30, E-3 and finally the E-5.
They have served me well and recently I won "Best In Show" at our local Sask Wildlife Art Association annual show.
Lately I've been less than pleased with my Olympus's handling of high iso and AF-C. Now with the announcement there will be no E-7 I had to settle for a mirrorless with an EVF or look elsewhere.
I've always been curious about Nikon and now was the time to scratch that itch
After much research I have joined the dark side, he, he...
D7100 on the left, Olympus E-5 on the right.
Cheers for now, Don
