Bought my first digital Nikon, a D200 and a 55-200mm zoom to take hockey photos. Not my first digital camera, my history is Canon IXUS; Canon 20D; Canon 1Ds; Panasonic GF1; Olympus E-1; E-5 and now an E-M5. Haven't owned a Nikon since my Nikon F in the eighties. I'm loving the usability, everything I need has dedicated buttons. I have a pre-AI Nikkor 50mm I'm trying to get brave enough to take to with a file so I can use it on the D200, but so far I'm too afraid of damaging it beyond repair..
