Tokina 100mm clicks when manual focusing

When the camera is on and I'm manually focusing the lens makes a clicking sound. Is that they way they are or is this something to be concerned about? ty

Mine clicks when you extend the ring back and forth from manual to auto focus... but it doesn't click when rotating the barrel to focus...
