Thanks for sharing Chris. Some very nice shots and interesting narrative.
Thank you CW. I am definitely no expert on the Amish community, especially behind closed doors, but I have worked around them (as our jobs collide often) for the last almost 30 years. Like I said, good and bad can be found, but you have to admire their steadfastness in a world of constant change. But the changes, particularly in technology, have even gotten a hold of them......they would not survive the business world otherwise. LOL, I'll never forget the time when an Amish worker gave me his cell phone to clear up a work related matter with his father. I have an Aunt who lives in the heart of Amish country nearby, and she will attest to the "partying" that goes on with them. They are not blind, and temptation has to be great for a young Amish person trying to live in "our" world. They are of course given the opportunity to leave the community at a certain age.......either to stay, or leave and be shunned. Whether these practices, and anything I have said, are "universal" through out the Amish nationally, I do not know. I'm sure there are subtle differences, or factions, among them......like any way of life. Anyway, thanks again
