I am going to be getting a chance to visit close to the Himalayas this month & as i don't think i'll get too many opportunities, i want to get it right the first time.
Am guessing that it would begin to snow at this point of the year
Could anyone point me to some good resources on Mountain Photography.
Any advice would be great & if any one has been there, the do's & dont's too!
Unfortunately i do not have a wide angle :(
Will have to do with the 18-55 as the widest

This should be a great opportunity... I can not offer much info but I do believe you will do just fine with the 18-55 lense.

Enjoy and good luck!

Found a link from Nikon of all places: Photography Tips Techniques and Tutorials | Nikon Learn and Explore
And this link has some useful tips too: Photography Tips for the Mountains // Alpine Exposures Mountain Photography — Breathtaking Photography

Hope this helps! Please share the photos when you are back!

the 18-55mm will do just fine. It helps to have a tripod. Take pictures both vertically and horizontal, and stitch them together.

when using your tripod, dont forget to turn the VR off. Enjoy, something you will remember and we will never get to see (only in your pictures):D
