For many years now, my city has held an annual Chalk Walk in conjunction with its festival. The Chalk Walk, a type of street art, consists of local artists of varying talent creating scenes with pastels on the street. Their "canvas" is a 4' x 4' or 8' x 8' spot on Main Street. Every one is encouraged to join in and participate. This is a crowd favorite and it draws upwards of 40,000 people every year. The weather this year was fantastic.......although, sadly, it rained cats and dogs the next day. A lot of hard work washed away. Here are some photos I took, shooting downward layful:, of the event!
