The ART of Photography

::what:: ART PHOTOGRAPHY!?! ::what::

YES! Critiques are welcome with a couple of caveats. The critique MUST be only about the artistic nature. NO TECHNICAL CRITIQUES PERMITTED!!!

If you critique, do it by EXAMPLE! Post YOUR art shot as an example!

Art is subjective. As such, it is very difficult to properly critique an art piece unless you can get into the artist's mind and view the piece through THEIR eyes!

So I will start with...

Vortex.jpg

"VORTEX"

I saw this tiny flower this morning and it set me to wondering what this would look like with a small amount of motion blur

pulling the eye towards the center and away from the petals. I set the stem to rocking back and forth until I found the look

I wanted and took the shot.

Enjoy

But a "critique", by definition, is an analytical analysis...

I might add, at the risk of sounding confrontational, that when it comes to visual art, it is not the job of the viewer to get into the head of the artist, it is the artist who needs to communicate effectively to the viewer.

If the artist has communicated effectively, then the viewer CAN critique on the art aspects. Besides, what do you gots to lose?

The whole idea is to have a critique poster lead by EXAMPLE. If you can't bite, don't growl.
