Street photography also known as “Straight Photography,” is a type of documentary photography that features subjects in candid situations within public places such as streets, parks, beaches, malls, political conventions and other settings.

More specifically street photography is “un-posed, un-staged photography which captures, explores or questions contemporary society and the relationships between individuals and their surroundings.
Street photography uses the techniques of straight photography in that it shows a pure vision of a scene.

Very cool. This is my favorite part of taking pictures and my biggest challenge is blending in (not being seen) so I can capture things naturally. Once you are spotted, its tough to get the shot. I love to spend 3-4 hours walking around town and just taking pictures of interesting people and their activities...
