    meaning of graphics on lens

    meaning of graphics on lens
Concerning Nikon AF 2.8 28mm D. The version I have has a graphic mark above the 'made in japan', its two arrows circling the number 10. I have seen the same version of the lens without this mark above 'made in japan'.
Would like to know the significance of this mark. I know little about the Nikkor lineup so reaching out here for answers. Thanks

It means there's cadmium in the lens and it should be properly recycled.

So is this a more recent version of the original 28mm D? Guessing it would be 'cause of the recycling revolution.
    Thanks

It's because there's more cadmium in the lens than would be allowed to simply toss it in the trash.
