Hoya HD polarizers ?

Do these filters live up to the hype ??

Not aware of any hype regarding them, but in my experience they are excellent polarizers. I have several.

Oh that... Yes they definitely have better lght transmission. I only lose a little over a stop with the Hoya HD's, I'd say. With the older Tiffens we have laying around I lose two stops or better.

I have a Hoya HD, and a standard Hoya, the difference is quite noticeable.

I've got a couple different 77mm CPLs, but I find myself usually hunting for the HD instead of the others.

I haven't done any side by side testing, just observing my own behavior.

I have always bought Hoya filters in the past, at the moment I just happen to be looking for a 62mm filter so I may as well buy a good one...
