Need advise for Nikon 18-200mm lens ?

Currently, I have 18-55mm & 55-200mm. The only problem I see is that I see myself switching between these 2 lenses and obviously I have to carry both.

So, I am thinking to get a Nikon 18-200mm as it is just one single lens and cover the same range that my 2 lenses cover together.

Does quality of image / video differ in a lens that cover such a wide range as compared to having lenses separately ? Is it good to get this lens or should I get 18-140 or 18-105 instead of 18-200?

It is a DX lens, Nothing wrong with DX and it is a very good lens...

If it were I, I would be buying FX lens for if or when i choose to go full frame...

18-55 and 55-200 are DX too ?

I am sorry, I didn't understand about going with FX lens over DX ? and full frame ?

-All the lenses you've mentioned are "DX only" lenses (they do not cover the entire full frame sensor, but can be used on a full frame cameras in a so-called DX crop mode - find the detailed explanations on the web).
-The 18-200mm would successfully replace those two lenses of yours. The 18-200mm is slightly worse than all the other aforementioned zooms in terms of overall quality, but it is not that apparent in "real life" situations.

Bottom line: get yourself that lens if you really need to have only one, instead of two.

So, the quality of image and video from 18-200 is a little worst than what I will get from 18-55 & 55-200 ?

If you were me ? what would you chose ? you would rather have 2 lenses or have one 18-200 ?

Also, how 18-200 is in comparison with 18-105 or 18-140 ? as I see everyone recommend these 2 but not 18-200 even tho 18-200 covers more range ?

In general the wider the zoom range the more compromises in its design, hence worse the image quality. Price is a rough indicator of the quality, the lower the cost the more possibilities of bad image quality.

To illustrate a point, my son bought the 70-300G. That is a 120 dollar lense and at 300mm it is soft and gives a lot of CA. Still he bought it as
- It had 300mm
- The next best lense having 300mm was five times as expensive.

So if you want a lense to be able to take a shot as you travel and are not bothered about IQ, get a wide range zoom. If you are bothered about quality, then in the order of quality (and price)
- Shorter range consumer zoom
- Shorter range professional zoom
- A set of slower primes to cover your focal lengths
- A set of fast primes

If you were me ? what would you choose ? you would rather have 2 lenses or have one 18-200 ?

I would rather have two lenses of reasonable IQ, rather than having one lens with bad IQ.

Ultimately if you are fine with bad IQ, then a high zoom P&S is a much better option.

You can find them on eBay at a great price or Adorama refurbished at a good price. Take the time to look around for yourself instead of asking everyone to look it up for you.

I wasn't asking people here to look it for me online. He said, he got it for $120 which I can't find at similar price that is the only reason I was asking if he got his lens from a specific place / site and if he can share the link.

My wife and I have both owned the 18-200 (one each) over the years and she still loves hers after six years. It's a good lens that you can take anywhere and it won't be the thing that causes bad pictures.

Even though I have more expensive gear now I was missing mine on a recent trip as it would have made a nice light travel kit with the D7100.

Beware it is OK from 70 to 200 after that it is way too soft and shows a lot of CA on D3300.
