I'm excited about this lens because it's an 18-300mm lens, serves as a short and long range lens, which means I'd never have to switch lenses when out and about. I'm really thinking of getting this lens, but I'm asking if anyone here has used it, if so, how was it for y'all? Thank you.

When the lens came out the price of 1K dollars for a DX lens, I decided not to purchase, however; when it went on sale a couple months ago, I broke down and ordered one. Glad I did, it is a super lens, have it on the D7100. Enjoy the results I get with this lens, and hardly ever take it off the camera. A little large for a walk around lens, but that is what I like. Knowing what I know now, I would pay the 1K price for it.
