So the sale is presumably on Nikon's website as opposed to other retailers? Will it be obvious like a front page banner or will we have to jump through hoops? the article is a bit vague

Though they have just recently finished the UK Xmas promotions, so maybe something new coming this way too :)

it is so weird the way deals work, I just got the Waterproof coolppix 16 Meg for 40% off because it was camo instead of teal blue. For some reason, there was an overstock of the camo, and the discount existed. If you are willing to jump on deals it is amazing.

Different brand, but saw a sigma DP whatever go from 600 dollars to 240 dollars for 3 days,,, weird, but during the three days,, a steal.

I got my Nikkor 55-300 for 240 dollars, the same way, Amazon sent me an offer to my email.

So, I do find they track your viewing on the sites, and if you select an item enough, you have higher odds of being added to the list for these special sales.

mmm got to start looking at the 14-24 more often.

I've been privy to the workings of what Amazon does with their clickstream analytics and lets just say that they're scary good at it. Almost too good. I'd never heard of Lightroom before, never searched for it, but within 24 hours of my brother mentioning to me (in my living room) that I should consider getting it there was an email offer listing it at 75% off. That wasn't just good, it was eerie.

I'm hoping for a rebate on the new 18-35 comming out in March! With my luck it will be a discount on the 70-200 f4 and I'll be torn between the two.
