Lenses Compatible with D3100

I'm looking into getting a second lens, and need to know what lenses are compatible with my D3100. I mean, will only Nikon/Nikkor work or will ones from other companies work? Thanks

[Nikon AF-S]...[Sigma HSM]...Tokina...Tamron...Of cause they have to have the Nikon mount..

Well... Not just AF-S but also AF compatible too, just you'll need focus manually

For non-nikon lenses, they still have to have the focus motor in the lens to autofocus. For example, Sigma's version of AF-S is HSM.

Try the used market as well. B&H has a great selection of used Nikon and 3rd party lenses. Just stick with lenses that are graded at 8 or above. Also, make sure the lens will auto focus, unless you want to manually focus your lenses. Good luck!
