Zenfolio and LR-4

I've a question to all the Zenfolio users that are also using LR-4. Have you been able to figure out how to install the Lightroom app that allows you to upload directly to Zenfolio? I'm beginning to think the app they provide applies LR-3 and earlier. Unless, of course, others are using it and it works just fine and I'm doing something wrong.

So does anyone upload directly via LR-4?

I use viewNX to organize my images, so when I'm in zen, I upload from viewnx. Never thought of exporting from LR4 directly to zen, may try it once you figure this out!

Rick - I figured it out. Go here - Jeffrey Friedl's Blog » Jeffrey’s “Export to Zenfolio” Lightroom Plugin and download the zip file, then after you unzip it, go to LR and under "FILE" menu scroll down to "Plug-in manager", then near the bottom left will be and "Add" button. Use that to point to the fold you just unzipped and vio la! You can upload directly to Zenfolio. When you go to export your photo, instead of exporting to the folder on your computer you export directly to a folder in Zenfolio.

There is also a way you can place a catalogue in LR that treats your Zenfolio files as an individual catalogue but I'm not 100% sure how to set that up yet.

Btw, it works really nicely, too. Saves the step of exporting and then uploading, you just export directly to the Zenfolio folder you want it in. Pretty cool stuff

Hi Dave,

I've been using Jeffrey's Lightroom plugin for years and it really is great. I'm surprised that Adobe hasn't made Zenfolio one of the integrated publishing services but until they do, Jeffrey's plugin works well.

You do have to keep an eye on the alerts and interact with the Plugin Manager to keep the plugin current and registered but you're prompted within the plugin dialog.
