Z6III and 3rd party batteries

I ordered an external battery charger for Z6III battery, and to my surprise it came with 2 3rd party batteries. First Power brand. I've never used 3rd party batteries with any of my Nikon cameras. I know they don't charge in camera, but I don't plan to charge that way. Any gotchas to using 3rd party?

Best test them in camera now and see if you get the message about 3rd party batteries on the display. The camera is very new so the battery manufacturer may not have been able to re-code the chip for the Z6III yet. Nikon does lock out the camera from use if it detects the wrong battery chip. I have 3 EN-EL3 compatible batteries that won't power my Z5 but work great on my D750 and D600 because of that. It's a shame because they have higher capacity.
